Connecting Together!

The Heart of Connection:

Building Community Through Faith In our daily lives, finding genuine connection can often feel challenging.  Yet, as believers in Christ, fostering relationships with one another is not just important—it’s essential.

This is the reason for starting this very special blog.  It will feature my ‘Daily Bread & Jams’ show, emphasizing the significance of building a strong Christian community, through music that inspires our and worship and walk with the Lord. It will also include devotional reflection and Scripture that grounds us with clear guidance in our faith.  The show will also include interviews with Authors, Christian Arists and other influencers. We will release the show in August.  Be sure to sign up to RECEIVE INSTANT UPDATES in the column on right.

The Biblical Call to Community

The early church sets a powerful example for us. Acts 2:42-47 illustrates how believers devoted themselves to fellowship, teaching, and prayer, living in unity and supporting one another: > “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42, NIV) This passage shows us that connecting with fellow believers was foundational to their faith journey, providing mutual support and encouragement.

Encouraging One Another Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us of the importance of encouragement and regular fellowship:

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25, NIV)

In a world filled with challenges, having a supportive community helps us stay strong in our faith and continue to grow in Christ.Bearing Each Other’s Burdens Connecting also means sharing our struggles and supporting one another. Galatians 6:2 instructs us:  “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2, NIV) By bearing each other’s burdens, we reflect the love of Christ and create a sense of belonging within our community.

Practicing Love and Unity Jesus commanded us to love one another, emphasizing that this love would be our testimony to the world: > “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35, NIV) Our love and unity as believers are powerful witnesses to those around us, drawing others to Christ.

Practical Steps to Connect

Let’s embrace the call to build deeper relationships, knowing that in doing so, we strengthen our faith and reflect the heart of Christ to the world.

I’m just getting started!  There is so much more we will be sharing together, and inspiration to stir your faith.
